Hello my name is Donna and I have 3 children, Lucas, Heidi & Lily my eldest. Lily started Sandcastles in 2004 when she was only 7 weeks old, as I had to get back to work. The girls at Sandcastles were great and soon put my mind to rest as I felt guilty at leaving my little one so soon.
The Baby room is a lovely warm room and has a really homely environment. I was given a little book so that I knew what time and how much my baby was fed and when their nappy was changed and also when they had a nap. They are sang nursery rhymes and even at this young age they are doing hand and foot paintings.
When my children progresses into the Young Toddler room they could crawl and eventually learnt to walk. They interacted with other children and made lots of friends. Each child gets their own coat hook and a wee picture that stays with them to the end so they know where to hang their bags and coats. There are lots of activities for them to do, crafts, singing & actions to nursery rhymes and so much more. Neither of my eldest children wanted to leave this room.
Lucas is in the Toddler room. It's a hive of activity. The children get to play outside and the girls take them out for walks in the buggies when it's a nice day. This is where the potty training takes place and I must say the girls at Sandcastles do a brilliant job! They do messy play, paint, make buns, draw and even plant wee bulbs and seeds. In this room they make the children more independent. Lucas is now potty trained and can dress himself and can even put on his own socks and shoes!
Heidi is in the Pre-school room and will be leaving to start school soon. This room is brilliant!! I've seen my girls being moulded and prepared for school. This room is as good as nursery, if not better! They learn their ABC's, colours, count and write their names. Heidi doesn't want to leave as she loves Sandcastles and so do I. I cried the day Lily left.
They are a brilliant team of girls at Sandcastles and very dedicated to their jobs. I had no qualms about leaving any of my children in their care. It's friendly, fun, safe and a very loving environment. I would highly recommend Sandcastles to anyone for I know my children were well and are well looked after. When I go to pick my children up they don't want to go home!

I feel that Zoe has benefited greatly from being at Sandcastles in her speech, interaction with other children and independence. The variety of activities from dancing and singing to body painting is endless. Every week sees sentences getting longer and presently we are attempting to dress ourselves. The care and supervision by all staff towards the children is of the highest standard, spoiling included.

Since Amy's first day at Sandcastles I have been able to leave her safe in the knowledge that she is well loved and cared for. She has developed from a baby to a little girl with her own personality and ideas. This development has been much enhanced by the girls who look after Amy, and their commitment and their attention to detail when planning the many varied activities. Many thanks to one and all.

I would highly recommend Sandcastles for your child-care. The staff are most friendly, caring and at hand for any help or advice you and your child may need. Katelyn comes home full of excitement wanting to tell you all about her great day she has had and can't wait until next morning to start it all over again. I would rate sandcastles ten out of ten and I would definitely use them again in years to come.

Sandcastles has created a friendly, professional and relaxed atmosphere which is perfect for children to develop and thrive. Their varied menu and structured activities ensure that the children are stimulated everyday. My daughter is thoroughly enjoying her time at Sandcastles and I would happily recommend it to any parents.

Leo has been going to Sandcastles for 6 months and during this time I have witnessed a remarkable change in his eating habits. Leo has gone from being a child who ate nothing other than cereal, bread and bananas. Now he eats potatoes, vegetables, meat, cheese, yoghurt and almost all fruit. He has discovered that he likes pasta too! Without the help and encouragement of the staff at Sandcastles along with their healthy eating programme, I know he would still be eating the same 3 things! Thank you very much.
